Very little time left to stop Trump
By Luis F. Brizuela Cruz
It has been an incredible run for Donald Trump. It has been also quite an exhilarating period for my conspiracy theory friends.
Just when it appeared that the notion of Donald Trump being derailed from the GOP contention by “occult forces” at work was evaporating, the democrat-like, vociferous, dismissive candidate has been performing like someone who has been “urged” to sabotage his own campaign with antics that may very well be too bombastic even for the mogul turned entertainer-turned serious aspirant-turned dangerous.
After boasting about a new brand of “loyalty” by his supporters, who (according to him) would not forsake him even if he “would shoot someone in the middle of Fifth Avenue”, Donald Trump recently decided to sit the last republican debate out due, allegedly, to his animosity toward Fox News’ Megan Kelly, dating back to their verbal scuffle earlier in the campaign. All of this, ahead of the Iowa and New Hampshire Caucuses.
It is practically impossible to assume that these, way over the top (likely orchestrated), moves by the eccentric billionaire can benefit him at this junction -his loss to Senator Ted Cruz in Iowa on February 1 notwithstanding- just as so many other unconventional maneuvers have proven effective and well received by a desperate segment of the American public up to now in Trump’s hyperbolic quest for the party nomination. Practically impossible, perhaps. Not inconceivable. As history has shown, various seemingly intelligent societies have fallen victims to the completely unorthodox rhetoric of unlikely leaders and have unanimously embraced the promise of a drastic reversal of fortune for their afflicted nations.
But the “occult forces”, as referenced by my conspiratorial friends, may be finally having a “hand” in this particular scheme of things American.
There may be an imperative need to put a stop to the socialist avalanche which has been gradually covering the nation’s spectrum for decades, but America must still show a certain level of restraint before succumbing to lunacy or even fabricated overreaction. After all, the United States of America remains somewhat fixable, although the six plus decade damage inflicted by the liberal hordes may seem at times irreversible.
Trump, therefore, may have finally been given the signal to start yielding to more likely candidates; either more suitable to the objectives of the Republican Party or to the best interest of the establishment as a whole. In any case, his recent diatribes would have been absolutely suicidal for anyone else, except for the Donald himself. Paradoxically, there is the possibility that he may have already gotten too deep under the sore skin of the overburden American middle class. For many, probably he cannot do any wrong, by comparison, in the overall context of our serious societal decadence, regardless of what he says, or does from this moment forth.
Amid their exhilaration, even my undaunted conspiracy theorists friends may end up having a difficult time deciphering this unprecedented political phenomenon within the calamitous social phenomenon of our riddling times.
Despite certain, possibly self-inflicted setbacks, Trump may still get past his own sabotage of his campaign after all. The real or virtual “occult forces” in our world will be forced to reconsider their options. Then the seemingly illogical, but almost necessary alternative will have to be to vote for him.
Like the odds in any casino, they are all stacked against the gambler. But he keeps on betting.
